All you need to ensure is that the location for your garden is sunny and spacious enough for you to cater to your plants. You should also keep in mind that certain vegetables are seasonal.
If you are a beginner, it is advisable to go for a container garden, wherein you can grow plants in small containers. You can make use of a recycled medium size container or plastic, ceramic or clay pots.
You will need to fill them with potting soil mixed with fertilizers. The next step would be to sow the vegetable seeds or baby plants according to the instructions and water them regularly.

If you have some preliminary knowledge of vegetable gardening, you can opt for designer gardens in a square or semicircular garden depending upon the space you want to place your garden in.
Some plants can be planted in rows, smaller squares or even at random.
However, it is advisable to arrange your plants in a pattern to make sure that all of them get sufficient space and can be reaped easily. You can divide the area into equal parts and sow seeds accordingly.
If you have a square garden, it is easier to plant seeds in rows and then at the middle of smaller squares.
For vegetables like radishes, you can simply scatter the seeds across the garden or sow them in row depending upon your choice.
